GUARDIARIS CELEBRATES BRITISH ADMIRAL HORATIO NELSON

Guardiaris celebrates British Admiral Horatio Nelson, one of the greatest naval commanders in history, by sponsoring an exhibition of Nelson's life held at the Park of Military History Pivka.

The exhibition presents the extraordinary naval achievements of the legendary Admiral Horatio Nelson and reveals lesser-known details of one of Nelson's rare overland journeys, with an emphasis on his travel across Slovenian historical regions in 1800.

At the invitation of the British Ambassador, H.E. Tiffany Sadler, Hotel Slon, and the Nelson Society, a ceremony took place on September 7th, 2023, to commemorate Admiral Lord Nelson's visit to Slovenia and his stay in Ljubljana's only hotel at the time, Hotel Slon.

The ceremony included the unveiling of a new prominent plaque in the lobby of the hotel and was accompanied by the opening of a temporary exhibition of Horatio Nelson (1758–1805).

In a solemn moment of unity, the plaque was unveiled by Brigadier General Milan Žurman and British Ambassador to Slovenia H.E. Tiffany Sadler, marking a poignant and harmonious milestone.
