GUARD™ ENGINE

Features for simulation

The system is capable of accurately simulating terrain from anywhere in the world, overlaying satellite imagery from various sources onto the generated terrain and matching it to the actual surface texture. GUARD™ 2.0 supports a wide range of data formats, as well as a large set of standards, ensuring seamless integration with existing GIS systems or national defence geospatial infrastructure.

Terrain generation from real-world geographical data

GUARD™ uses real terrain data provided by high-resolution satellite imagery, elevation models (DEM/DTM), and terrain vector data adhering to Open Geo Consortium standards to generate a geographically accurate, fully destructible, and interactive digital twin of Earth. It incorporates procedurally generated vegetation, buildings, assets, roads, and water bodies, using various materials and surface types for realistic planning, training, and simulation purposes.

Exact physics simulation

GUARD™ incorporates a powerful and accurate physics model, enabling it to achieve unrivalled vehicle driving dynamics, external and terminal ballistics, and full vulnerability models across all in-engine assets. This complex yet effective system exactly calculates all asset interactions and behaviours, from spinning tires and armour thickness on a vehicle, terrain and surface properties, down to the smallest projectile fragment ricocheting from a wall or penetrating a metal plate, factoring in all types of materials and surfaces to create a comprehensive simulation environment.

After-action review, reports & KPIs

GUARD™ seamlessly integrates various sensors (biometrics, eye-tracking, weapon positioning, shot tracing, etc.) to enable the collection of extensive training and simulation data, which is processed within the AAR (After-Action Review) system to ensure rapid data capture, classification, and aggregation. This supports comprehensive analytics on multiple levels of simulation.

Ultimate military simulation

Intuitively create complex training scenarios enhanced with pre-programmed or AI-powered interactions with our GUARD Scenario Editor. Have complete control over scenario weather/time of day conditions in real time during the exercise.

The terrain generated by GUARD™ can be manually altered in the Terrain Editor to reflect environmental changes, infrastructure updates, or the latest intelligence information. It allows the user to modify the terrain features, surface types, topography, place assets such as buildings, vegetation, vehicles, and landmarks (among others), and add or modify various types of roads. This enables rapid training environment creation using real-world or fictional terrains, supports mission rehearsal with up-to-date intelligence, and allows for testing in diverse environments. This flexibility enhances realism, speeds up training preparation, and ensures that exercises and simulations stay relevant to evolving operational or development requirements.

The GUARD™ Scenario Editor allows end-users to create and modify training and simulation scenarios without coding, tailoring them to specific goals. The intuitive interface offers a variety of useful editing and creation tools for basic or advanced users, which enable quick and in-depth mission prototyping. It also supports the creation of thorough digital twin testing scenarios for the purpose of product development. The Scenario Editor unlocks the ability to set interactions between assets, apply logic to units, set time of day and weather conditions, control camera movements, spawns, event triggers and a large pool of other tools, providing unlimited scenario editing and creation capabilities.

GUARD™ features an intuitive command interface, easy for training instructors to pick up and master, regardless of their tech skill level. The GUARD™ Control Panel gives them full control of the scenario, allowing them to monitor the ongoing exercise with actionable, real-time feedback data.

The AAR captures the state of the exercise during every moment, providing a full replay and breakdown of each scenario mid-action or after its completion. This gives the users the capability to instantly evaluate every decision, move, sensor input, shot, or any other aspect of training or simulation, resulting in immediate and constructive feedback or scenario adjustments. Reports and exercise data can be exported in custom formats for trend analysis and long-term performance monitoring.

Sound and shock floor

The sound-driven floor beneath the soldiers’ feet emulates shock-factors that mirror battlefield situations. Every explosion and other dramatic distractions are felt, raising the level of stress and unpredictability.

Surround sound

Guardiaris trainers enable high fidelity visual and aural feedback corresponding to the training scenario. Immersed in such an environment, soldiers experience unmatched realism before entering the combat.

Control stations

The control station is a server and the main computing point. It is preinstalled in GUARD™ simulation software and highly versatile GUARD™ Control Panel (GCP) software. It ensures exercise planning, implementation and evaluation, instruction-soldier communication, and comprehensive After-Action Review.

Simple user interface for creating complex scenarios.

3D simulated realism

GUARD™ features extremely fast real-world terrain data integration. It instantly turns any place on earth into a highly realistic synthetic environment replica. Mission-specific training can also be performed within specifically designed synthetic environments.

Exact & terminal ballistics

A large database of environments and objects provides soldiers with a highly immersive environments where ballistics are calculated accurately for every weapon and projectile type. With the support of proprietary 3D image generator and realistic physics engine the synthetic environment can adapt real behavior and projectile penetration effectiveness when it hits certain surface or material.

Beyond synthetic environment

GUARD™ powered synthetic environment is incredibly realistic and dynamic. Built-in Artificial Intelligence allows OPFOR units to adaptively behave in the environment (hide, lay down, run) and to automatically hide into the suitable cover area. Moreover, destruction models take into consideration different assets' material types, their interaction with different ordnance types, and their destructive abilities.

Training for unexpected

Scenario editor works on the concept of randomness and surprise. Rapid scenario creation and editing enables simulation of real-world conditions (weather, time of day, visibility, etc.) and most of the parameters can be adjusted even during exercises. In that manner, scenarios are constantly different, demanding trainees to be alert and prepared at all times.

Creative freedom

A powerful and user-friendly editor interface allows complete freedom in creating own complex scenarios with custom terrain. It features a huge asset library (e.g., vegetation, buildings, vehicles, enemy units), and easy creation of waypoints for movable units or triggers for events. Endless complex scenarios with an added elements of surprise assure a thorough training.
